what we do
Better futures forchildren aroundthe world
Studies have shown that investing in girls is key to breaking the cycle of poverty. When girls are educated, healthy and empowered, they pull themselves, their children and their communities out of poverty.
We take care of girls’ educational and basic needs support by funding their fees, feeding and school needs (text books, note books, pens, pencils, uniforms as well as feeding).
SPONSOR A GIRL

MENTOR A GIRL
SFL supports girls in under-served communities through the application of mentoring. We invite professional ladies for mentoring sessions/career talks to educate the girls and also assign each girl to a steadfast mentor who will write to her, encourage her ambition, empower her confidence, and keep her on track by helping her set goals and work towards actualizing them. When we mentor a girl, she becomes a mentor to another, this will successively raise quality of life.

The Girls Support Centre is a safe haven where girls can read, socialise and play games with their friends. The centre also plays an important role in teaching girls about their rights so that they can protect themselves against harmful practices like child sexual abuse and child marriage.
Rural girls both in and out of school receive academic support through a 4 hours class and are taught concepts in Math, English, Science, Body Safety, ICT, Personal and Career Development, Etiquette as well as Arts and Crafts to bridge the gaps that have arisen from some being out of school. We don’t just want to send them to school, we want to make sure they can keep up with their peers and enable them to attain specific grade competent levels.
